WWE Live Event Results From Reading (6/21): Rollins Vs. Ambrose, Reigns Vs. Orton, Khali Returns

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com readers Kenny, Thomas Leffler and Tucker for sending these reports for last night's WWE live event in Reading, PA:

From Kenny:

Arena had about 3,000-3,500 people in it. I had 1st row ringside seats on what would he camera side for Raw.

Sheamus defeated Cesaro and Jack Swagger in a triple threat match for the US Title. Excellent match that in my opinion was match of the night. Zeb cut a lengthy promo to start about illegals and how Scranton, PA was a real city. Next out was Cesaro (unfortunately no Paul Heyman). Sheamus was out last to a big pop. Cesaro worked the match as a heel. Ending saw Cesaro get out of the ankle lock and Swagger walked into a a Brogue Kick. After the match Cesaro sat in front of me for several minutes talking with the ref and then took his boot off and was helped to the back.

Bo Dallas defeated Zack Ryder. Bo cut one of his typical promos before the match. My section was full of BOlievers. Bo did 2 laps around the ring during the match which the crowd liked. Bo won with the bodog.

Nikki Bella defeated Rosa Mendes in a typical diva match. Nikki carried the match.

The Ascension defeated R-Truth and Xavier Woods. Okay match that saw the Ascension hit there finishing move on Truth.

Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins by DQ. Rollins had a lot of heat and plenty of "you sold out" chants. Ambrose came out to a solid pop. Good back and forth match. These guys obviously have a good chemistry together. At the end of the match Ambrose feet were tied in the top rope and he hung upside down and Rollins continued to beat on him till he got dq'd. Rollins then went to use a chair until Ambrose countered and s ent Rollins running to the back.

Los Matadores defeated Heath Slater Tyson Kidd and Hornswoggle in an okay match. Damien Sandow managed Slater Kidd and Hornswoggle. Sandow received plenty of boos.

Great Khali defeated Titus O'Neil. Typical Khali match. A CM Punk chant broke out during the match.

Roman Reigns defeated Randy Orton. Very good match between these guys. Crowd was very into both guys. Reigns made his entrance 2 seats away from me which was cool. Good back and forth match. Ending saw reigns preparing for the spear until Rollins tried to interfere only to be stopped by Ambrose. Orton went for the punt kick but walked into a Spear and Reigns got the win.

After the match Ambrose came back out and Ambrose and Reigns celebrated. The crowd liked seeing The Shield together to end the show and popped big when the 2 of them put their fists together to symbolize The Shield.

Overall very good show.

Biggest Pops
1. Roman Reigns
2. Sheamus
3. Dean Ambrose

Most Heat
1. Seth Rollins
2. Randy Orton
3. Damien Sandow

From Thomas Leffler:

I was in the front row, and Rick the sign guy was 5 seats away from me. Very annoying in person, took the attention away from the other kids in the front. Rest of the Arena was about half-full.

Sheamus vs Cesaro vs Jack Swagger for the US Title to kick off the show. Hard-Hitting match that Sheamus won off the Brogue kick. Big cheers for Sheamus.

Bo Dallas out next with his usual Bolieve promo. He beat Zack Ryder with the Bo-Dog.

Seth Rollins promo up on the screen hyping his match with Dean Ambrose.

Nikki Bella beat Rosa Mendes.

Ambrose promo on the screen, hyping his match.

The Ascension beat R-Truth and Xavier Woods. Pretty plodding match, no reactions for anyone except Truth.

Rollins vs Ambrose. Good match, crowd really against Rollins. Rollins DQed for kicking Ambrose in the corner after the 5 count. Rollins tried to use a chair after, but Dean kicked him out of the ring.

The Great Khali beat Titus O'Neil in a quick one. Big pop for Khali. Some "CM Punk" chants broke out during this one.

Intermission.

Damien Sandow comes out, playing a talent agent gimmick. 6 man tag between his team of Heath Slater, Tyson Kidd and Hornswoggle against Los Matadores and El Torito. Good spots between the Matadores and Kidd. Torito took a wig off of Hornswoggle and hit a moonsault off the ropes for the win.

Roman Reigns beat Randy Orton in the main event. Lots of brawling around the ring and entrance. Reigns looked awkward working 10 plus minutes solo, but the crowd came alive for his comeback. Seth Rollins came out, trying to distract Reigns from hitting a Spear. Ambrose came down to brawl with Rollins to the back. Reigns hit a Spear a minute later for the win.

Good show overall, seeing Khali was a rarity, and everyone worked pretty hard.

Biggest Pops:
Sheamus
Khali
Reigns

Biggest Heat:
Orton
Rollins
Sandow

From Tucker:

Hey, here's a rundown of results from the 6/21 house show in Reading, PA. I'm typing on a tablet so I apologize for spelling/grammar errors.

The night started with Jack Swagger and Zen Copter coming out, Zeb cuts a pretty run of the mill promo regarding the foreigners Jack is taking on and what not.

Sheamus defeats Swagger and Cesaro -Triple threat for the U.S. title

Seth Rollins on-screen promo, "I didn't sell out, I bought in" etc etc.

Bo Dallas defeats Zack Ryder

Dean Ambrose on-screen promo, something about hunting down Rollins and "getting his fingernails dirty".

Nikki Bella defeats Rosa Mendes

The Ascension defeats R-Truth/Xavier Woods in a match for the NXT Tag Titles

Dean Ambrose defeats Seth Rollins by disqualification after Rollins continuously kicked Ambrose while he was trapped in a corner. Super entertaining match, lots of cool spots. Ambrose tossed chairs in the ring at one point but never got to use them.

Great Khali defeats Titus O'Neil.

Damien Sandow promo – tells the crowd he is still the intellectual savior of the masses and has used his brain to assemble a fantastic tag team to compete in the night's six man tag match. He brings out Tyson Kidd, Heath Slater, and Hornswoggle. They take on Los Matadores and El Torito, and fall after Torito lands a "bullsault" on Hornswoggle. This match was surprisingly super entertaining.

Randy Orton comes out to a huge pop for the main event, significantly louder than the reaction Roman Reigns received, however the crowd quickly got behind Reigns. There was some partial interference from Rollins/Ambrose but mostly just distractions as the two were more concerned with beating each other up rather than interfere with the match. Reigns wins with a spear, the night ends with Reigns and Ambrose in the ring.
