- There have been plenty of changes around Bellator MMA over the past few weeks, as Scott Coker - the former leader of Strikeforce - has been brought in to replace Bjorn Rebney moving forward. However, the promotion will take a step back in July, as Spike TV plans to re-broadcast the first pay-per-view offering by Bellator.
Bellator 120, which featured former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson claiming a decision victory over Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal in the main event, will air on Friday, July 18 at 9 p.m. ET. Along with Jackson-Lawal, the broadcast will replay Will Brooks-Michael Chandler for the interim lightweight title and Tito Ortiz-Alexander Shlemenko.
- It's been over two years since we last saw former Ultimate Fighter winner Amir Sadollah inside the Octagon. Sadollah, who won the Season 7 title over CB Dollaway, has been recovering from nerve damage suffered following a surgery.
Sadollah (6-4) has fought all 10 of his pro bouts with the promotion. He was defeated by Dan Hardy in 2012 and underwent surgery for an injury suffered in training. His manager, Brian Butler-Au, recently told FOXSports.com that Sadollah suffered nerve damage as a result of the operation.
"The injury was one thing that set him back, then the surgery and then realizing the surgery caused some additional damage," Butler-Au said. "He's feeling good now. He's getting his training in and getting his training back. It's nothing we want to rush into after being gone for so long."
Sadollah is targeting a return to the Octagon later this fall, with October being looked at.
