The Outdoor Channel has a new article interview with Shawn Michaels' MacMillan River Adventures and plans for the new season that begins this week. Shawn is in the studio recording interviews for upcoming episodes today. He and producer Keith Mark will be going to Bermuda to fish with JBL and Michael Cole this weekend for a future episode. The four will compete in the Blue Marlin Cup tournament and will be fishing from the 54 foot Paradise One vessel, manned by Allan and Delvin Bean. Michaels and Mark are hoping to help the boat land the biggest blue marlin in the one-day tournament that will bring prize money upwards of almost half-a-million dollars.
Mark talked about how Shawn faced a lot of criticism from hunters when he became publicly involved in the sport and said that Shawn and his family really live the outdoors life. Mark said:
"He lives on a ranch in Texas, he does the ranch work himself, he and his wife home-school their children, they eat what they kill, and if they harvest more than they can use, they donate it to a program like 'Hunters for the Hungry.'"
