WWE Superstars Recap With Video: Big E Vs. Titus O'Neil, Alberto Del Rio Vs. R Truth
Superstars opens with Big E making his entrance. Tom Phillips and Renee Young are on commentary.
Big E vs. Titus O'Neil
E backs Titus into the corner. Titus slaps E's chest. E takes Titus to the mat and keeps his waist locked in. Titus hits an elbow to the head. He collides with E, sending him sprawling to the mat. Titus slaps E in the chest in the corner and rams his shoulder into E's stomach. He clubs E's in the back. Titus picks E up on his shoulder and drops to a knee. He locks in E's arm. E gets free, but Titus clubs him in the back and strikes him to the mat. Titus goes for a leg drop, but E moves.
E hits a pair of clotheslines and a belly to belly suplex. E lands a running splash. He signals for the big ending, but Titus hits a big boot. He whips E into the corner and charges, but E moves. E picks Titus up and hits the big ending for the win.
Winner: Big E
Back from commercial and the segment from RAW where the Miz and Chris Jericho return is shown. Then, Byron Saxton is backstage with Alberto Del Rio. Saxton asks about Jericho's return, and Del Rio says everyone should be talking about him. He was this close to becoming the new champion. He guarantees that he will become the new intercontinental champion at Battleground.
Back from commercial and the lead up to Paige vs. AJ Lee on RAW/the title match is shown. Then, Eden is backstage with AJ Lee as part of a WWE.com exclusive. Lee says that when she wants something she gets it. She wanted her baby back, and it was too long since she had it. She just did the same thing that Paige did to her after WrestleMania.
Back from commercial and R Truth makes his entrance.
Alberto Del Rio vs. R Truth (with Xavier Woods)
Truth locks in a side headlock. He hits Del Rio with a shoulder knockdown and a hip toss. Truth drops a leg on Del Rio. Del Rio comes back with a kick to the stomach. He slams Truth into the corner and hits several strikes and kicks. Truth kicks Del Rio in the head and clotheslines him over the top rope. Truth sends Del Rio back inside, but Del Rio hits an enziguri as Truth tries to get back inside.
Back from commercial and Del Rio has Truth's head locked in. Truth gets free via strikes to the body. He goes for the cover on Del Rio, but Del Rio kicks out and hits a DDT. Del Rio goes for the cover, but Truth kicks out. He attacks Truth in the corner and drives his boot into Truth's throat. Truth gets free and charges Del Rio, but Del Rio moves and Truth collides with the ring post. Del Rio hangs Truth's head over the apron and kicks it.
Del Rio goes up top and leaps off, knocking Truth to the mat. He tries to attack more, but Truth hits an elbow to the head. Truth charges Del Rio, and Del Rio kicks him. Truth comes back with a heel kick. He hits a few more strikes, and then hits Del Rio with the scissors kick. Del Rio kicks out of the pin attempt and goes for a clothesline, but Truth ducks. Truth goes for a move, but Del Rio hangs onto the ropes, and Truth hits the mat. Del Rio kicks Truth in the head, and Truth rolls to the outside.
Del Rio goes outside and tosses Woods into the barrier. He sends Truth back inside, and Truth goes for a quick pin attempt. Truth goes for another pin attempt. Del Rio hits his corner double boot stomp and locks in the cross arm breaker. Truth taps.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
Back from commercial and the opening segment to RAW where Stephanie McMahon reveals the cover athlete for "WWE 2K15" is shown. A portion of John Cena and Roman Reigns vs. Kane and Randy Orton follows this to end the show.
