Dana White On BJ Penn's Future, Frankie Edgar's Next Fight, Penn-Edgar Video

- The incredible run for BJ Penn inside the Octagon likely came to an end for good Sunday night, as Penn was defeated by Frankie Edgar in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale. You can see highlights of the fight, which Edgar won via third round TKO, in the video above.

For Edgar, it marked a third victory over Penn, as he previously won two lightweight championship matches. Both of those wins came via decision for "The Answer."

- On the heels of his loss to Frankie Edgar, BJ Penn will be sitting down with UFC president Dana White soon to discuss his future. While he has one with the promotion, it will not include fighting anymore.

"I didn't want to see him fight Sunday, but he wanted it, and I respect him. He's got it all, he's one of two guys who have two belts in two weight classes. He's fought in all the big fights, he's made a lot of money, he's got a beautiful wife and family. He's got his own gym, what more do you want?" said White, during the FS1 post-fight show. "I don't think he wants to say the R word. A lot of them don't. I'll sit down with his family and we'll talk. BJ Penn is going to always have a home in the UFC. He's our partner in the UFC gym and we'll do things together in the future."

Penn (16-10-2) last won when he finished Matt Hughes in another battle of former champions back in 2010. Since that night, he fought Jon Fitch to a draw and lost to Nick Diaz, Rory MacDonald and now Edgar.

- When Frankie Edgar takes a look at the current featherweight division, he admits that a title shot might not be presently available. So, "The Answer" wants to test his skills against a top contender.

"I see I'm No. 3," said Edgar, during the post-fight show on FS1. "They moved Cub Swanson ahead of me, so it only makes sense fighting the guy ahead of me. I want to fight again before the year is out."

Swanson earned his sixth consecutive victory when he defeated Jeremy Stephens recently. At the time, he seemed a sure-fire bet for the next title shot after Chad Mendes fights Jose Aldo. That bout, though, has been tabled due to an injury to Aldo.
