UFC Legend Makes Retirement Official, What's Next For Urijah Faber, Photo Of Ronda Rousey's Injury

- Following a TKO loss to Frankie Edgar, former UFC champion BJ Penn made his retirement official during the post-fight press conference for The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale. Penn lost for the third time to Edgar, a former UFC champion himself.

"This is the end," Penn said. "If I didn't make this night happen for myself, I would have always wondered. I guess I just needed some closure."

Penn (16-10-2) is one of only two fighters to hold UFC titles in multiple weight classes, winning both the welterweight and lightweight titles during his run. He was competing at featherweight for the first time in his career against Edgar, and was finished for just the third time.

"When the blood started going and the fight started, I realized it takes a high level of energy to compete with the top people," Penn admitted. "At the end of the day, the bottom line is you need a high energy to compete."

- Urijah Faber didn't let the upset bug hit him over the weekend, defeating Alex Caceres in a bout he was favored to win. The victory kept Faber unbeaten in non-title fights and allowed him to keep his standing in the bantamweight division.

So, what's next for "The California Kid?" He's thinking about heading overseas and UFC Fight Night from Japan later this year.

"There are all sorts of tough guys I'd like to fight," said Faber, during the post-fight show on FOX Sports 1. "Kid Yamamoto. I've been asking for that for a long time."

- Ronda Rousey faces a medical suspension from her 16-second victory over Alexis Davis at UFC 175 this past weekend. Rousey had a cyst bust on her right hand, requiring nine stitches to be inserted.

Rousey also confirmed that she will need to have her knee scoped, keeping her out of any August fight as previously mentioned during the card.
