Video: Roman Reigns Discusses His Surgery From Hospital Bed In Nashville

A video has surfaced online of Roman Reigns laying in a hospital bed explaining how he went from preparing to face Seth Rollins at tonight's Night of Champions pay-per-view event in Nashville, Tennessee, to calling 911 for help and having emergency surgery to repair an incarcerated hernia.

"Yesterday I was here in Nashville promoting Night of Champions and my match against Seth Rollins," said Reigns. "I was laying in bed and all of a sudden I felt a really sharp pain right below my belly button in my bladder region. Tried to gut it out but it just kept getting worse so I ended up calling 911. They sent an ambulance and once I got to the hospital, the doctor said I had a hernia and I needed to go into emergency surgery and here I am now."

Reigns could be released from the hospital today. WWE physician Dr. Amann noted to WWE.com that recovery time will be 4-6 weeks, but "this was a pretty significant hernia, so it will probably be closer to six weeks."

As noted earlier, Reigns also sent out this message on Twitter today.

WWE did not announce a replacement match for Reigns's scheduled match against Rollins at Night of Champions tonight.
