Dana White On Conor McGregor's Next Fight, UFC Weigh In Results For Two Fight Night Cards
- Conor McGregor just might find himself as the next contender to the UFC featherweight championship. Should Jose Aldo successfully defeat Chad Mendes later this month at UFC 179, UFC president Dana White doesn't see a reason for not tabbing "Notorious" as the next man to fight Aldo.
"Here's the thing: If you go down the list, every one of those guys has fought Jose Aldo already," White said in his weekly UFC Download interview. "Conor hasn't. So who do you line up next for the champ other than Conor? Everybody else has fought him."
McGregor scored his biggest win to date recently, finishing Dustin Poirier in the first round. He is 4-0 since joining the promotion with three finishes.
- Weigh-ins for both Saturday UFC cards took place on Friday, and 23 bouts are set. UFC Fight Night 53 takes place on Fight Pass beginning at 12:10 p.m. ET, while UFC Fight Night 54 airs on Fight Pass, FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2.
In the main event of the first card, Gunnar Nelson takes on Rick Story from Stockholm, Sweden. The night event boasts Rory MacDonald against Tarec Saffiedine. Complete weigh-in results can be found below:
