GSP Comments On Dana White Meeting, Conor McGregor Booked, UFC 179 Weigh In Results

- Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre returned to training at his home gym in Canada recently, and according to a report by "UFC Tonight, he was humbled. GSP stepped away from MMA last year and suffered a knee injury in training.

According to the report, St-Pierre's first day back in the gym was "humiliating, but he felt better than last time he came back from an ACL injury." While he did meet with UFC officials, nothing concerning a return to the Octagon was discussed.

St-Pierre vacated the title after defeating Johny Hendricks, the current champion. Hendricks will defend the belt against Robbie Lawler later this year.

- Conor McGregor's next bout will take him back to Boston, as "Notorious" meets Dennis Siver in the main event of UFC Fight Night 59. The card airs January 18, a Sunday, on FOX Sports 1 after the NFC championship game on FOX.

McGregor is coming off a first-round finish of the highly-ranked Dustin Poirier, which was his third stoppage win in four UFC appearances. Siver snapped a losing streak with a win over Charles Rosa in his last outing.

The card is also expected to feature a lightweight contest between Donald Cerrone and the unbeaten Myles Jury.

- Weigh-ins for Saturday's UFC 179 event took place earlier today from Brazil. In the main event, Jose Aldo will defend his featherweight title against Chad Mendes, while the co-main boasts Glover Teixeira vs. Phil Davis.
