Ring Of Honor TV Report (11/23): AJ Styles In Action, Michael Elgin Throws Match, Title Match

Michael Bennett and Maria are out to the ring with the pink furry belt. He tells the fans he and Maria re in love, and they wouldn't know what love is. He says Nigel McGuinness is making all of these title matches, but he hasn't made matches for the 'Title of Love,' because Nigel does not believe in love.

He makes an open challenge for his furry title belt, and Romantic Touch takes him up on his ofer.

Michael Bennett (w/ Maria) vs. Romantic Touch

Touch kisses Bennett's hand when they shake hands. Touch hits a monkey flip for two after a series of punches and kicks. He maintains control with a standing armbar, and Bennett just can't break out of anything and gets dropkicked for a two count before the commercial.

As we come back, Touch is about to hit a tope but Maria moves in front of Bennett. Touch teases a kiss to Maria, but hits an inverted atomic drop instead. As Touch tries to get back in the ring he's superkicked, and Bennett gets a Side Effect on the apron but only gets a two count.

Bennett goes back to work with a suplex, gets two and throws on a chinlock. Touch busts out and scores with a back body drop and a belly-to-belly suplex for a two count of his own. Maria gets on the apron and distracts Touch. Touch moves out of the way and Bennett almost runs in to her, but can't resist and kisses her. Touch tries to roll him up with a prawn hold, but Bennett kicks out and finishes Touch with a Twist of Fate for the win.

Caprice Coleman vs. Michael Elgin

Loud "Elgin sucks" chants to start the match. Elgin just lays down in the middle o the ring and tries to have Caprice Coleman pin him. Security comes to the ring and Elgin starts taping his fist before commercial.

Hanson vs. AJ Styles

Styles starts off with leg kicks and reverses a powerbomb, and follows with his signature drop kick but it only knocks Hanson to one knee. Styles works Hanson over in the corner, but Hanson clubs his back. Styles with a running dropkick right before the break.

As we're back, Hanson is in control but misses a suicide dive. Styles moonsaults off the apron but is caught and tossed into the ring post. He rolls Styles back in the ring and goes to work with slow, methodical strikes. He whips Styles into the turnbuckle, then lands big knees to the midsection.

Styles tries to fight back with a kip up huracanrana, but comes up empty and eats a huge knee, elbow drop and fist drop. He follows up with a fist drop and a splash for two before another commercial break.

Back from the break Styles is fighting back with forearms but is tossed into the corner and put on the top rope. Styles slides through Hanson's legs and drops his face on the turnbuckle, and finds a home for a big kick that has both down. Styles comes off the top with his springboard forearm. Styles goes for the Clash, but Hanson throws him in the air, making him land face first on the ground.

Hanson hits a big double underhook powerbomb, but only gets two. A huge spinning powerslam also gets two, and Hanson is starting to get frustrated. He lets his guard down and gets chop blocked, and Styles attacks the leg with the Calf Killer, setting it up with an awesome roll through. Hanson finally gets to the ropes.

Styles tries a half hatch suplex but gets driven to the corner, where Hanson unloads with big punches. Styles comes up empty on a tornado DDT, but hits an impressive Sunday Bloody Sunday brainbuster for two. Styles does an awesome springboard 450 to Hanson's injured leg and goes right back to the Calf Killer. Hanson is locked in for a long time and tries to punch his way out, and finally breaks the hold with elbows.

Styles goes for another Styles Clash, but Hansen gets 2.9 off of a reversal into a over the shoulder, belly-to-belly piledriver. The crowd thought it was three, and it was really, really close. Hanson goes up top but Styles knocks his injured leg off. Styles tries to put Hanson on his shoulders, but Hanson lands Sheamus-style forearms to the chest.

Hanson is seated on the top rope and Styles drills him with a Pele kick, and then a Styles Clash for three. Awesome showing for Hanson.

Winner: AJ Styles (via Styles Clash)

Styles celebrates to close the show.
