Big UFC Title Fight Is Off, Rampage On Bellator Contract, UFC Announces TV Deals In Canada

- – After Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's controversial signing with the UFC, Bellator claimed that he was still under contract to their brand. MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani tweeted that Rampage said their contract was voided because the brand didn't provide him with PPV numbers for their event in May.

- Horrible news for former UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz today, as it was revealed he's suffered a third ACL. This tear is on the opposing leg of his previous tears, but he'll now be sidelined with no timetable for his return.

Cruz was originally slated to face current champion TJ Dillashaw sometime in 2015. Cruz vacated his championship after being unable to compete for nearly three years.

As if that weren't bad enough for the UFC, another top contender in Raphael Assuncao is also on the shelf with a broken ankle. With Urijah Faber and TJ Dillashaw unlikely to fight each other due to being training partners, former champion Renan Barao may be next in line.

- UFC announced a television deal in Canada. They sent out the following press release:

Bell Media's TSN and RDS will deliver a slate of marquee UFC programming to fans across multiple platforms, including major live events, preliminary fights of UFC Pay-Per-View events, UFC Fight Night? events, and The Ultimate Fighter® series.

Fight Network will broadcast all UFC Fight Night? events from around the world as well as preliminary bouts for domestic non-Pay-Per-View cards.

TSN and RDS will partner with Fight Network to produce an original live pre-fight program before Pay-Per-View events that will air on Canada's #1 sports networks. Additional shoulder programming will air across TSN's suite of five national feeds, giving UFC fans more access to programming than ever before.

As part of the partnership, TSN, RDS and Fight Network will work together to provide effective sales and marketing of UFC broadcasts in Canada.
