Why WWE Is Announcing Randy Savage Tonight On RAW, His Brother And Father Being Inducted?

Word going around WWE today is that it will just be Randy Savage inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, not the whole Poffo family – Randy, his brother Lanny and their father, the late Angelo Poffo.

While on the WWE Network today, Savage's brother Lanny Poffo did not comment on his previous statement about Randy wanting the whole family to be inducted at the same time.

On a related note, F4Wonline.com reports that WWE leaked the news to TMZ this morning and decided to go ahead with the announcement on tonight's RAW because they were looking for mainstream interest due to the ratings woes. The decision was made for Savage to be inducted a while back but they decided to make the announcement this week instead of January 26th or the first week in February due to heavy competition from the Oregon vs. Ohio State game tonight.
