His start in wrestling and how he wanted to standout from other independent wrestlers:

"I started in Austin Texas in November of 2006. Before I made my jump from San Antonio to St. Louis I took a look at the entire landscape of wrestling from Ring of Honor, Chikara, and Dragon etc and look to see what they were doing and how can I pattern myself from them and at the same time standout from the rest. Kobe took stuff from Jordan, but the only person that belongs in that same conversation with Jordan is Kobe, so I looked up to AJ Styles and I pattern my style from what he was doing and told myself how can I be like AJ Styles, but at the same time get the same amount of attention as AJ Styles."

His upcoming match with AJ Styles:

"He's the IWGP Champion again, I mean on top that he's the phenomenal one. After my match with Alberto El Patron I had a feeling that I can do anything in the world. Wins and losses don't mean anything, it's what you gain from those matches. You could lose, but at the same time you can have this winning experience and have the world on your shoulders and you can do anything in the world. I got into the ring with one of the biggest names in the independent scene right now Alberto El Patron and i'm putting myself back into the firepit again with taking on AJ. I can come into this match and prove to the world that ACH is the new s–t in wrestling."

Who he has the most chemistry with in the ring:

"It's always going to be Kyle O'Reilly or AR Fox it's my two favorite opponents to get in the ring with and AR Fox was my first match out of Texas. Also Kyle was my first opponent in Ring of Honor back in 2012."

Being Humble:

"I'm a found believer in the fact that if you're going to be self confident it should be within and not out loud. Usually when guys that are confident out loud everybody wants to burst there people's bubbles and everybody wants to test them and when you stay within it shows that you don't need to prove anything to anybody you just need to be yourself. A lot of my upbringing in wrestling is the reason why I am the way I am. Alot of people say oh you're very humble you're super nice. I came from humble beginnings I was raised from strong women, so I watched the struggle. I make the struggle look beautiful."
