Anderson Silva Fails For More Drugs, Chuck Liddell On Drug Issue, UFC Media Event Coverage Today

- Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell had an ugly encounter on Fox News' Sports Court this week, when he was sent to tackle the PED issue on air with Tamara Holder. The hall of famer was unaware of the testing policy and didn't seem concerned at all with steroids in MMA.

"You have to have fair competitions as best you can. I cut down to my weight, if someone takes steroids to get up to me... I've never been muscled around by anyone," said Liddell.

- As if things weren't bad enough for Anderson Silva and the UFC, the former middleweight king tested positive for both Oxazepam and Temazepam during his fight night drug screening. In addition to failing a pre-fight test a month prior for Drostanolone, Silva failed for the additional substances. Temazepam is often used as a sleeping aid, while Oxazepam is prescribed as an anti-anxiety medication.

Silva, along with his fellow UFC 183 headliner Nick Diaz, both received temporary suspensions pending a meeting of Nevada State Athletic Commission officials. Silva, Diaz, Jon Jones, Hector Lombard, Jon Fitch and Ashlee Evans-Smith have all had PED and drug controversies this year.
