Bellator Suing UFC, Ronda Rousey In Another Movie, Big Changes In UFC Rankings

- Following her 14 second domination of Cat Zingano at UFC 184, Ronda Rousey noted that she was going to take some time off to make a movie, but couldn't reveal the name of it. However, according to a report from Variety, that has changed.

Rousey will be starring in a new action film titled Mile 22, alongside Iko Uwais. The Indonesian Awais has starred in The Raid series, as well as a role in the upcoming Star Wars film. Rousey will begin filming in mid-May.

Rousey will also appear in Furious 7, Entourage, as well as Athena Project. She was also featured in Expendables 3 last year.

- After a controversial few months, Bellator MMA is taking the UFC to court in order to prevent Quinton "Rampage" Jackson from competing under the UFC banner. Bellator released the following statement:

Jackson, who has completed only three fights of his exclusive six-fight contract with Bellator, is barred by contract from fighting for any promoter other than Bellator. Our lawsuit for an injunction and related relief – filed in the Chancery Division of the Superior Court in Burlington County, New Jersey – will compel Jackson to honor his contractual agreement. We look forward to having one of our MMA stars fighting for Bellator again."

Jackson re-signed with the UFC late last year and was booked to compete against Fabio Maldonado for next month.

- Both UFC 184 and PED scandals caused major moves in the recently released UFC rankings.

UFC 184 co-headliner Holly Holm made a huge jump from #13 to #10, while Tony Ferguson made a long overdue debut in the rankings at #13. Ferguson had won 12 of his 13 fights in the UFC, including his bouts on The Ultimate Fighter. Despite losing at UFC 184, title challenger Cat Zingano didn't drop out of the #1 women's bantamweight spot.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva had a huge fall after admitting PED usage this weekend, dropping all the way to #5. The move allowed both Lyoto Machida and Jacare Souza to tie for the #1 spot. Silva's place on the pound-for-pound ranking stayed at #9.
