Backstage News On Why Daniel Bryan Was Sent Home From European Tour

As we first reported earlier this week, Daniel Bryan was sent home from the current WWE European tour after last Tuesday's SmackDown taping in London. WWE sent us a statement, noting that Bryan was pulled from the tour "as a precautionary measure."

Dave Meltzer reported on F4WOnline.com that people on the tour have said that Bryan suffered a concussion during his match with Sheamus on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago. WWE was seemingly aware that Bryan was banged up after that match, as he had not worked any other singles matches since that show. Meltzer noted that Bryan would not have been allowed to wrestle if he had been diagnosed with a concussion, which would indicate that while they may have known he was hurt, they didn't figure out that it was a concussion until after Tuesday's SmackDown taping.
