Samoa Joe Speaks After NXT Debut, Talks About Competition In NXT, Issues Warning

While he didn't speak on-air during his surprise debut on NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, Samoa Joe did speak after the event. WWE posted a video of his comments on their Youtube page, which you can see above.

"So this is NXT?," Joe said, as the crowd chanted "NXT". "I've always made it a point to compete in the hottest promotions in the world, and everywhere I looked, and everyone I asked told me one thing: 'Joe, if you want to do what you want to do, if you want to be with the very best, and the most hungry and vicious and violent and hungry and excellent pro wrestlers in the world, then you come to NXT.'"

Joe had long been rumored to sign with the company. WWE COO confirmed to Wrestling Inc yesterday that he had in fact visited the Performance Center in recent months and was more than impressed with the facility. Joe was also clearly impressed with the talent, which he explained in his post-show comments.

"If tonight is any indication of the competition I can expect, rest assured, Joe is happy, and Joe is here. Consider this your warning. I am Samoa Joe, I am pro wrestling, and I am here in NXT," Joe said.

NXT will be holding television tapings this week. No word yet on if Samoa Joe will be participating in the tapings.
