"Daniel Bryan: Just Say Yes! Yes! Yes!" Blu-Ray Review

If you're looking for something new for your blu-ray player, Daniel Bryan: Just Say Yes! Yes! Yes! isn't the right way to go, at least the first disc. Well, maybe if you've avoided the WWE Network it is.

Daniel Bryan's new blu-ray feature set releases a year after his Road to Wrestlemania special aired on the Network. Perhaps I failed to do a proper amount of research, but based on the preview clips WWE had been releasing, it had appeared this would be a new set, as the clips showed Bryan talked about Michaels securing he and Lance Cade a WWE developmental deal. Instead, the feature was the same that was released after WrestleMania last year.

The story floats back and forth between his WrestleMania 30 weekend and his journey to get there, with very little discussion of his decade-plus career prior to coming to the WWE. In the bonus clips (and his book, I've heard), he was brutally honest, something I was hoping to see in a newly crafted documentary piece.

The rest of the set does accomplish these things however, although it's in the tedious style of comments-match-comments-match. Bryan's 2003 WWE match with Jamie Noble is on disc two, along wth his match with John Cena before any met the fame they now know. The matches are not in any chronological order, but the comments and special features on the set make it worth getting for fans of Bryan.

This release was similar to that of Eddie Guerrero's in 2004, in that the special had already aired months before, and extras were added to a second disc in order to make it worth a purchase. Fortunately for both men, their in-ring prowess is enough to warrant a purchase, and the addition of updated Daniel Bryan stories in between really save this set. If you're looking for a sit-down-and-watch feature, just get a month of the WWE Network for half the price. However, if you're okay with sitting through some (great) matches or skipping around, this is a must watch.
