NJPW On AXS Recap (7/24): Nakamura Vs. Tanahashi, Okada, Shibata, Bullet Club Member In Action

Welcome to Wrestling Inc's coverage of NJPW on AXS. This episode features more matches from the 2014 G1 Climax Tournament.

- We see highlights of Shibata vs. Tomoaki Honma. The two go at it early, but end up at a stalemate after Honma misses a falling headbutt. This is a hard-hitting match, and the crowd went nuts when Honma finally hit a headbutt. Honma got a lot of offense and shine in this match. Honma plays a great underdog, but gets beaten by Shibata.

- Next up is clips of Takahashi vs. Okada. Takahashi attacks Okada before he gets to the ring. Takahashi lands an awesome seated Dominator, but can't get the pin. Okada wins with a Tombstone and Rainmaker.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

The two try to wrestle and strike with each other, but nothing comes of it. Tanahashi gets an advantage with a big dropkick, but walks right into a wheel kick from Nakamura, which sends him reeling from the ring. The two end up going back and forth for several minutes until Tanahashi starts attacking the leg of Nakamura to prevent all of the knee-oriented offense.

Nakamura locks on a triangle choke, but after a solid minute Tanahashi turns it into a Cloverleaf. Tanahashi hits two big Slingblades to gain the advantage, and continues working over the knee of Nakamura. The two trade big strikes, and Tanahashi gets the best of it, then lands a standing High Fly Flow. He goes for another, but Nakamura gets the knees up. A second rope
Boma Ye gets two, and a follow up gets the same. The crowd is going nuts, and Tanahashi pulls out the Japanese Rolling pin for the win!
