Former WWE Creative Writer Speaks Out About Brock Lesnar Gay Character Storyline Pitch

We mentioned earlier that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that magazine writer Brian Solomon pitched an idea for a "tough guy character" that would out himself as being gay.

Former WWE creative member Seth Mates spoke out on the situation, saying that anyone in the company could pitch ideas and were welcome to do so. He noted that such a pitch was made, but it wasn't necessarily on the table to happen.

Mates also said that some of the details from the Observer report, such as Solomon's name, as well as when it was done weren't correct.

As we know, the idea didn't end up coming to fruition with Lesnar.
