Bellator/Glory Dynamite 1 Results (9/20): Giant Return Announced, King Mo Hurt, Tito Ortiz, Tourney

Bellator and GLORY Kickboxing's Dynamite show is in the books, and what is supposed to be Bellator's WrestleMania started off on a rollercoaster ride.

Tito Ortiz lost what is likely to be his last championship fight, but actually performed beyond expectations. Ortiz was well on his way to winning round one when Light Heavyweight champion Liam McGeary locked on an inverted triangle to submit the UFC Hall of Famer with only ten seconds remaining in the round.

MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko announced his return to MMA, as he'll be competing on the next Dynamite show, which will take place on New Year's eve. No opponent was announced, but it was revealed that Fedor didn't actually sign with Bellator, but Japanese MMA promoter Nobuyuki Sakakibara, who was President of PRIDE FC.

Bellator's tournament didn't go the way they wanted, as "King" Mo Lawal and Phil Davis won their opening round bouts. Lawal wasn't able to continue due to an injured rib, and was instead replaced by UFC veteran Francis Carmont, who had won a reserve bout. Carmont was promptly knocked out by Davis, who will take on McGeary for the championship.

While they weren't boring by any stretch, the GLORY kickboxing bouts didn't deliver on the action that are generally witnessed. Bellator fighter Paul Daley walked away with a victory, and will likely be booked against rival Josh Koscheck in an MMA bout.
