Updates On TNA And ROH Possibly Staying On Destination America, Dixie Carter E-mail Debacle

- We noted before that Destination America General Manager Mark Etkind recently left the company to work for The Science Channel and that Jane Latman replaced him, perhaps giving hope to pro wrestling staying on the network.

It was noted that Etkind was the one who called for wrestling to be eliminated on the network. It turns out he made that decision after Dixie Carter accidentally sent an e-mail to Discovery Network executives, calling one executive an idiot for not releasing DVR ratings, like Spike TV sometimes did, as Impact Wrestling was doing 15-20% increases if you factored in DVR numbers from the week. Discovery President Mark Graboff wasn't the only one Dixie took shots at in the e-mail as apparently it was Etkind she was calling an idiot, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

There has been no indication that Destination America will be keeping wrestling now that Etkind is gone but word is that all programming decisions are being evaluated. For what it's worth, people in TNA are under the impression they will finish up in January while those in ROH say they are waiting to hear what their future with Destination America is.
