UFC President Dana White Says Georges St-Pierre Is Done Fighting

There's been a lot of talk recently regarding former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre possibly making a return to the UFC. However, UFC President Dana White isn't one of the people touting a comeback.

White appeared on Off The Record, where host Michael Landsberg asked White about a return. White, however, didn't sound too optimistic.

"Listen, I like Georges St-Pierre. I respect him. He was an absolute class act. He took Canada to a whole other level with the sport and everything else, but he can talk about why he isn't here, why he isn't doing this and maybe he'll take six weeks; Georges St-Pierre lost the urge to fight and that's the reality," said White.

White doesn't hedge the blame or place it on anyone else. White instead said it was nobody's fault at all, and simply claimed that the former UFC Welterweight Champion just lost the urge to fight.

"He lost the urge to fight and it happens," he continued. "There's nothing wrong with that. It's nothing negative. It wasn't because of anything that happened with me or with Lorenzo (Fertitta) or anything with the sport. He lost the urge to fight, period," said White.

The UFC President even went as far as to say that he told UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta that he thinks GSP is done.

"I've been dealing with athletes since I was 19 years old and I saw it in his face after the Johny Hendricks fight," explained White. "We went backstage and we talked. I looked at Lorenzo last night and I said, 'GSP's done'. He said, 'What? You're crazy.' I said, 'He's done.'"
