What Organizers Are Hoping For WrestleMania 32 Attendance, How Much Texans Are Paying For It

According to The Texas Tribune, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has earmarked $2.7 million in taxpayer funds to bring WrestleMania 32 to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas next year.

Texas's Events Trust Fund incentivizes events being held in the state by covering the cost of certain taxes levied in relation to such events. This month, Abbott approved an award of approximately $2.7 million for WWE to hold WrestleMania 32 in Texas. This is the Events Trust Fund's second largest award, as the lion's share of the awards went to this year's Formula One race in Austin, Texas. 2015 Formula One United States Grand Prix in Austin was awarded close to 75% of the total awards at $19.5 million.

The Stadium Events Organizing Committee's Chief Financial Officer Marty MacInnis believes that WrestleMania 32 will have an economic impact on the area akin to an NFL Super Bowl and officials hope to draw a record crowd of over 90,0000 attendees to the event.
