As noted, recently on Talk Is Jericho, 'Y2J' Chris Jericho talked about WWE's stringent drug policy, putting over Evan Bourne, whether Cesaro will get over, and his WrestleMania 29 match against Fandango. When asked whether there are any talents that he thought would have been more in the business of professional wrestling, Jericho said he was told that WWE was going to do something with Evan Bourne before they worked together, but it never materialized.
"I think Cesaro is amazing. [He is] very underrated and does have a personality that meanwhile the boss doesn't see that yet, but I do. It's just a matter of finding the right way to do it and he'll get over. I'm telling you right now, he will."
As for Jericho's WrestleMania 29 match with Fandango, Jericho defended it insofar as Fandango was the most over performer on the WWE Monday Night RAW following WrestleMania 29.
"The thing with Fandango was it wasn't exactly what I wanted to do, but the night after WrestleMania , on that [WWE Monday Night] RAW, he was the most over character on the show," Jericho stated. "I'm taking credit for it because we built that feud so well in four weeks. I took a guy that no one had ever seen, made people believe in him, made people get into that character, and it was what it was. Like I said, it wasn't what I wanted to do at 'Mania, but in retrospect, I was very, very happy with that feud and I think it worked out great."
In addition to these topics, Jericho discussed how he was originally earmarked to be the Goon in WWE, his relationship with Triple H, and much more. To listen to the show, click here.
