* WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day retained over The Usos in a really fun opening match, big reactions for both teams

* Neville beat The Miz in another fun match. The Miz was great on the mic

* Braun Strowman squashed Fandango

* R-Truth quickly beat Bo Dallas after a weak heel promo

* Kane beat Bray Wyatt in a Street Fight after chokeslamming him through a table. The match had interference from The Usos, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper

* Ryback defeated Rusev with Lana

* WWE NXT Women's Champion Bayley beat Naomi in a non-title match. Sasha Banks, who got a really good pop, was at ringside with Tamina Snuka. After the match, Team BAD attacked but Natalya made the save and put Tamina in the Sharpshooter

* WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose retained over Kevin Owens in another really good match, both men played their roles well. Ambrose cut a promo after the match for his supporters, saying he was kicking the New Year off right. He greeted fans and posed for photos to end the show
