- We get clips of Kota Ibushi vs. Tetsuya Naito next. Ibushi gains control early and hits a nice springboard dropkick on Naito. There was a cool spot where Ibushi flips out of a Dragon Suplex attempt, but Naito takes him out with one anyway. Kota Ibushi wins with the sitout Last Ride powerbomb.

Hirooki Goto vs. Kota Ibushi

The much larger Goto goads Ibushi into a striking battle to start things off. Ibushi goes for a Golden Triangle, but is sent outside with an insane lariat that flips him upside down. Goto hits a funny looking diving elbow for a two count, and applies several submissions to Ibushi.

Ibushi gets to his feet and eats a bunch of strikes, but connects with a Frankensteiner that sends Goto outside the ring. This allows Ibushi to hit the Golden Triangle moonsault, which is a thing of beauty. What isn't a thing of beauty is Goto no selling a Dragon Suplex before he gets kicked in the head for a two count. Ibushi also hits a nice top rope Frankensteiner as we go to a commercial.

Goto escapes the powerbomb attempt and blocks a kick before connecting with Ushigoroshi, but doesn't get the pin. The two throw forearms at each other, but nothing's doing. Goto folds Ibushi in half for a two count, and the crowd is into the match. Goto hits an absolutely insane Shouten, but Ibushi still manages to kick out. Ibushi gets up and turns Goto inside out with a big clothesline. The two go back and forth, but can't put each other away. Ibushi hits the Last Ride, and Goto kicks out, a Phoenix Splash gets it done and Ibushi wins.

Winner: Kota Ibushi via pinfall (Phoenix Splash) to win the 2015 New Japan Cup
