WWE Smackdown Recap (3/17): AJ Styles Vs. Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns Speaks, Dean Amrbose Tours Cincy

- Roman Reigns enters from the ramp and says he knows Triple H is watching. He said HHH is still the champ, but he's in HHH's ring, eating catering on HHH's dime and is going to do so until he kicks Triple H's ass.

- AJ Styles is backstage and says that the WWE fans cant chant whatever they want. Kevin Owens says Styles' whining reminds him of Zayn. KO says friendship doesn't matter and Styles & Zayn should get a show on the Network where they hold each other and cry. AJ Styles says they have a match tonight and he'll shut up Owens. Owens tells Renee and Styles they have the same haircut.

Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz

This is the 19th televised singles match between Dolph Ziggler & The Miz. Miz uses a cheap show to take advantage, but gets cradled and barely kicks out. Ziggler lands a hip toss and the Heart Stopper elbow and a dropkick, but is sent chest first into the turnbuckle. Miz dropkicks Ziggler to ringside before the commercial.

Ziggler is worked over, but fights back and gets a two count with a clothesline. Miz counters the big DDT with a boot to the face for a two count. Miz applies the Figure Four. Ziggler gets out and clocks Miz with a superkick for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler via pinfall (Superkick)

- Dean Ambrose is shown in his home town of Cincinnati talking about the life lessons the city taught him. He says he's going to use those lessons he learned and teach them to Brock Lesnar when he takes Lesnar to school.


Bubba Ray Dudley (w/ D-Von Dudley) vs. Goldust

D-Von distracts Bubba by grabbing a table, allowing Bubba to attack. Dudley connects with a neckbreaker. Bubba mocks the Dusty Rhodes elbow, and Goldust proceeds to kick his ass for it, hitting the ten punches in the corner and a bulldog for two. Bubba leaves the ring, but boots Goldust for the win as he gets back inside.

Winner: Bubba Ray Dudley via pinfall (big boot)

The Dudley Boyz attack, causing R-Truth to run out. He gets beaten down, but the Usos make the save.

- Charlotte and Ric Flair are out in the ring. She talks her history with Charlotte and Becky Lynch. Becky comes out, then Sasha. Charlotte talks about how she knew how great the other two (and Bayley) girls were when she met them. Charlotte apologizes.....for thinking Sasha and Becky Lynch were worthy of saying they were Horsewomen. Banks and Lynch argue over who deserves it. Becky and Sasha feign coming to blows and instead attack Charlotte.

- Despite getting beaten down on Raw, New Day come out and make fun of League Of Nations. They have trash bags, which they punt, and say represent the Lads being hot garbage.

Kofi Kingston (w/ New Day) vs. King Barrett (w/ League Of Nations)

Kofi pulls off a one man Unicorn Stampede before the commercial. We see him distracted by the LON as we come back, and Barrett boots Kofi off the apron. Kofi recovers and hits a fantastic modified floatover DDT. Everything breaks down as LON attack New Day outside the ring, beating them down. Kofi catches Barrett with a wheel kick and rolls him up for the pin.

Winner: Kofi Kingston via pinfall

- We see another video of Dean Ambrose showing off Cincinnati, saying he's bringing the entire city to WrestleMania to face Brock Lesnar.

- Social Outcasts are on the edge of the ring talking trash to each other about the Andre The Giant Battle Royal, but Ambrose comes out and destroys them with a kendo stick. He says he knows Lesnar will be on Smackdown next week, and call him out to meet face-to-face.

Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles

Styles connects with his beautiful dropkick to start the match off, but Owens quickly knocks him down as we head to our final commercial. Owens gets posted, and Styles gets some strikes before a slingshot forearm and a Ushigoroshi for two. Owens plants Styles with a slam and a lariat, but can't get the job done.

Owens lands a superkick, but Styles reverses a Pop-up powerbomb and lands and Torture Rack Bomb for two. Owens is knocked off the top rope, but Jericho's pyro hits and distracts Styles. Owens with a pop-up powerbomb for the win!

Winner: Kevin Owens via pinfall (Pop-Up Powerbomb)

Jericho hits the Codebreaker on Styles and mocks him to end the show.
