AJ Styles On Shawn Michaels In-Ring Work, Social Media Helping Him Be A Star In WWE, More (Videos)

- Above is this week's "Off The Top Rope" segment with Jonathan Coachman for ESPN SportsCenter. Coach shows highlights from WWE Payback and this week's RAW but does not name the top moments.

In the videos below, Coach is joined by AJ Styles. Coach asked if AJ ever thought he might not make it to WWE. AJ said he learned to live with it and accepted it. He said it was sad thinking he'd never be on WrestleMania. Styled talked about making his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble and how he wasn't sure if anyone would know who he was. Coach asked how social media has helped someone like him stay relevant outside of WWE and then be a big star instantly when he comes in. Styles said he doesn't think it would have happened without social media and he wouldn't be the star that he is in WWE without social media. Styles credits a big part of his success to social media. Coach also asked about Styles working WrestleMania 32 and he said it was mind-boggling being in front of that many people.

Coach asked why Shawn Michaels would be AJ's dream opponent. AJ said HBK made everything mean something, whether it was a punch or a slam. Styles said even if HBK didn't do anything crazy, you were impressed because he did all the little things that mattered to make it a great match. Styles doesn't believe Shawn is ever coming out of retirement and he says he deserves it.

They also talk about Styles being a fan of Christian hip-hop, video games and more.
