Cody Rhodes To Wrestle TNA Star, Video Of TNA World Cup Wrestlers On Tour, Dixie Carter On Sony Six

- AAA's 2016 Lucha Libre World Cup kicks off tonight in Mexico City. As noted, Ethan Carter III, TNA KOTM Champion Eli Drake and Tyrus will be on Team USA-TNA while Rockstar Spud is on Team Resto del Mundo with Mil Muertes and Apolo. TNA Knockout Sienna will be working the women's division on Team USA with Cheerleader Melissa and Santana Garrett while TNA Knockout Allie will be on Team Canada with Taya and KC Spinelli. TNA posted this behind-the-scenes video from day 1 of the trip.

- TheFanGarage.com in India has published part 2 of their interview with TNA President Dixie Carter. She commented on the importance of TNA's relationship with TV partner Sony Six:

"They've been great partners for a long time, and we would love to make India our second home. The potential is unlimited here, the fan base is so passionate about all the sports, especially wrestling and we see some great opportunities to grow the business in India as we have some incredible partners in Sony. We definitely want to tape television from India and we are currently discussing about the same."

- As noted, former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes will be wrestling Kurt Angle on Saturday, August 27th at Northeast Wrestling's "Wrestling Under the Stars" event in Wappingers Falls, NY. Cody will actually make his NEW debut the night before, August 26th, in Pittsfield, MA. His opponent will be "The Miracle" Mike Bennett, who was one of the names on Cody's post-WWE "to do" list.
