As previously reported, Ariane Andrew, formerly known as Cameron in WWE, was a guest on The Steve Austin Show. Among other things, Andrew talked about the infamous incident on WWE Tough Enough (Season 5) where she told 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin that her favorite professional wrestling match was a WWE Monday Night RAW bout featuring Melina and Alicia Fox. Also, Andrew told Austin what her favorite matches are now that she has had more experience in the professional wrestling world.
"I wasn't an avid wrestling fan and that was just the first thing that I remember and being women and stuff like that. And I was like, 'that's what I said' and it was just like one of those types of things that has lived with me forever, but I don't regret what I said because I feel like I wouldn't have taken the dedication to learn the history. And then, now I see why people were so upset. At the time, I was like, 'I don't understand' or 'if it was probably someone else, people would have been like, 'oh yes', but you know it was because it was me'. And I still get so much heat from it and so much criticism. But I'm happy it happened because it's like if you don't make mistakes, you don't learn and you don't grow. And it's like it really had me sit down, study the history, and kind of be like, 'okay, you know what? I can see kind of where they're coming from.'"
During the podcast, Andrew claimed that her new favorite match is the Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat versus 'Macho Man' Randy Savage classic from WrestleMania 3.
"I have a few [favorite matches], but I want to say Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat [versus 'Macho Man' Randy Savage] first. I would say that's like the number one." Andrew professed, "that was a pretty damn good defining moment and I really like that match."
Andrew also named 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin versus Bret 'Hitman' Hart at WrestleMania 13 as an all-time favorite match.
"I definitely think it was a kickass moment with [Austin] and Bret Hart in the submission match. That was a good match." Andrew continued, "[Austin] passed out, all that blood!"
In addition to these topics, Andrew talked about whether she would consider moving to another professional wrestling promotion, how she got the news that WWE was saying 'girl bye', and much more.
