As seen in the video above, John Cena spoke to Extra to promote hosting tonight's ESPYs. Below are some highlights:

* Cena said that the recent shootings will be addressed tonight and it will "be an extra special part of the show."

* When asked if he's pivoting away from WWE with the hosting gig, Cena once again said that he doesn't plan on ever leaving WWE.

"They're in 180 countries, they have 650 million homes they reach every week, they have over half a billion social followers. Why in the name of whatever we believe in would I shut that off? They have such a powerful voice, such an excited fan base, and I actually love doing it, I flew all through the day and night just to show up on 'Monday Night Raw' for a minute and a half [on Monday] and I loved it, I loved every second of it."

* Cena did admit that he would "absolutely take" a co-hosting position on Live with Kelly! "in a heartbeat." He noted that he loves morning television, and he would be "the first guy to be able to host in the morning and go fight at night."
