CM Punk Documentary Ep. 1 Video: AJ Lee Talks Punk's Debut, How Did Punk Fare Against MMA Fighter?

Above is the first episode of the four-part CM Punk documentary, Evolution Of Punk, that premiered this past Monday night on FS1.

In the episode, Punk talked about signing with the UFC and training at Roufusport in Milwaukee, WI. Punk's wife, AJ Lee, is featured throughout the first episode, with Punk admitting that AJ isn't the biggest MMA fan. AJ said that she'll be at the fight, but probably won't be cageside. She said that she won't watch the fight even though she'll be there, saying that she'll probably keep her eyes closed the entire time.

The episode ended with Punk's first sparring session eight weeks into his training in March of 2015 against welterweight Craig Eckelberg (6-2). Punk was dominated throughout the sparring session, tapping twice during the three rounds. Punk admitted afterward to coach Duke Roufus that he had no delusions heading into the session. Duke said he was happy with the sparring session and noted that he had never put anyone in that quickly after only two months of training. Punk noted that he got his first three rounds under his belt and plans to get better every day so that he'll be the one winning when his fight comes.
