As we first reported at the end of August, Cena will be taking a hiatus from WWE in mid-October to film the second season of American Grit, which is when the first season began filming last year. Cena is expected to be out of action until late December to film the show.

Cena's last scheduled date before his hiatus is the SmackDown taping on Tuesday, October 11th at the SAP Center in San Jose, CA. Cena is also scheduled to appear at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 20th, but is not currently advertised for any other shows after that until late December for WWE Holiday live events after Christmas.

Cena is currently scheduled to face Dean Ambrose and WWE Champion AJ Styles at for the title at WWE No Mercy on October 9th, which is days before he leaves to shoot American Grit.
