- WWE today officially announced this afternoon that the WWE Royal Rumble will return to the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX on Sunday, January 29, 2017. As noted, it is the 20th anniversary of the 1997 Royal Rumble, which took place at the Alamodome in San Antonio in front of 60,525, which is still the largest crowd for the event in its history. Steve Austin won that year's Royal Rumble match, while Shawn Michaels regained the WWF Championship from Sycho Sid. As noted, the last time the event was in San Antonio was in 2007, which saw The Undertaker win the 30-man Royal Rumble match. Tickets go on sale on Friday, October 14 at 11am ET on Ticketmaster.

- WWE released the videos below of tag teams hyping the 16-team WWE NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The tournament kicks off next week and ends at Takeover: Toronto during Survivor Series weekend.
