Shawn Michaels On If He Has Been Contacted About The Royal Rumble, What He Thinks Of AJ Styles

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was interviewed by 105.3 THE FAN's Troy Hughes and Kevin Hageland in Dallas to promote his new movie, The Resurrection of Gavin Stone. During the interview, Michaels was asked about rumors of a possible match against AJ Styles at next month's Royal Rumble pay-per-view in San Antonio.

"No one has even contacted me about that show. I don't know if anyone cares that I'm from there," Michaels said. "I think the WWE has happily moved on from me."

Michaels noted that he met Styles once, and while he was impressed by him, he's content with being retired.

"I met AJ Styles once, he's a phenomenal young man," Michaels said. "He's [a] very nice, very respectable young man and is unbelievably talented. I'm honored that my name pops up darn near every week in people's wish for guys to wrestle. That's a compliment to me and I'm thankful of that. But I'm very comfortable with my life and being retired."

Michaels also discussed his role with WWE's Performance Center, his days working in a pizza joint and his new movie. You can read the full interview by clicking here.
