Light Heavyweight Fight
- 205 lbs.: Jimi Manuwa #3 vs. Volkan Oezdemir #5

Round One: Oezdemir lands a low leg kick as Manuwa locks him in a clinch. Oezdemir lands some hard left hands, with a beautiful right hook in the clinch. Manuwa is hurt! Once the clinch is broken, Oezdemir follows with a huge left hand, knocking his opponent to the ground. He follows with punches until the referee stops the fight. Dazed, Manuwa doesn't realize the fight is over and attempts to lock up the referee.

Final result: Volkan Oezdemir defeated Jimi Manuwa via KO (punches) at 0:42 of Round One

Welterweight Fight
- 170 lbs.: Donald Cerrone #6 vs. Robbie Lawler #3

Round One: Robbie comes out swinging and lands some bombs. Donald is already in trouble but lands a nice knee to his opponent's body. The two separate after a quick exchange but Cerrone has taken some damage. Donald hits a knee to Lawler's body. The crowd chants "Robbie" as the two fighters battle for the Tai Clinch. Cerrone lands a right hand and tries to follow with a high kick. Cerrone takes Robbie down to the mat after an adjustment. Cerrone has the favorable position, on top of his opponent. Donald lands a hard knee to Robbie's body but Robbie explodes back to a vertical base. Lawler gets back to a left kick but Cerrone lands a high kick. Cerrone attacks Lawler's body to end the round.

Round Two: Donald uses the front leg side kick to get some distance. He fires away with some punches at his opponent's head. Lawler lands a left high kick but Cerrone hits a nice elbow to Lawler's face. Cerrone's corner wants him to focus on Lawler's knee and want him to intercept his opponent's attack. Donald hits a knee to Lawler's body and seems to be gaining confidence. Robbie counters with a shot to his opponent's body but Donald backs him up with punches. Donald goes for a takedown, Robbie blocks, Donald hits a knee and a high kick. Donald is overwhelming Lawler with options, slowing him down from his initial burst. Seven takedown attempts by Cerrone with less than a minute left in the round. Lawler gets in on Cerrone but is covered by punches and elbows from his opponent.

Round Three: Donald gets caught with a head kick to start the round. He fights his opponent off with a knee to the body. Lawler starts to find the reach with the high kick again but Cowboy counters with a knee to the body. Lawler just misses on an uppercut, Cerrone goes for the takedown but doesn't get it. Donald eats an uppercut but quickly counters with an elbow. There is a beautiful exchange from both men and Robbie's face is bloodied. Lawler continues to push the pace and force the action. Cerrone lands a strong left hand. Donald appears to get poked in the left eye towards the end of the fight but the referee doesn't stop the action. They go back and forth, going the distance.

The crowd didn't like the result. Lawler dedicated his victory to Matt Hughes.

Final Result: Robbie Lawler via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

UFC Women's Featherweight Championship Fight
- 145 lbs.: Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino vs. Tonya Evinger

Round One: Cristiane lands a left hook and immediately drops Evinger. Evinger lands an inside leg kick and jab but Cyborg attacks. Cristiane gets her opponent against the cage and takes her down to the mat. Cyborg makes her opponent stand back up. Evinger swings and misses, Cyborg lands some punches over the top. Low leg kicks from Justino on Evinger. Evinger eats some kicks from Cyborg. She goes for a takedown but Cyborg battles. Evinger finally takes Cyborg to the ground but it's brief. Cyborg stands her back up and squares to her opponent. Evinger pokes Cyborg in the eye and the referee calls a timeout. The doctor comes in and signs off on Cristiane to continue. Less than two minutes to go in the round as the fight is restarted. Both girls are extending their hands and Evinger does a great job at securing a clinch. Cyborg misses on a side kick and with a right hook. Cyborg tags her opponent with a right jab but Evinger hangs tough. Cristiane lands a big head kick and follows with two inside leg kicks. Thunder from Cyborg as she lands an overhand right and a knee right at the horn.

Round Two: Cyborg lands a high right head kick. Cyborg is starting to read Evinger's kicks. Evinger lands a right hand but Cyborg builds a significant counter that drew a reaction from the crowd. Cyborg is looking to go up high, Evinger continues to retreat and try and pick her spots. Cyborg lands a vicious left and goes back to a beautiful leg kick. Evinger gets tagged again but she's hanging with her opponent. Cyborg pushes Evinger into the cage and just misses on a head kick. The round ends with Evinger clinching on to Cyborg.

Round Three: Cyborg opens the round with an inside leg kick. Justino lands some big blows and sends her opponent to the mat. Cristiane follows with leg kicks and allows her opponent back to her feet. Evinger hits a leg kick but Cyborg follows with a kick of her own and a jab to follows. Cyborg hits some left knees and Evinger crumbles to the mat. When Cyborg went to follow up on her damage with a left hand, the referee stopped the contest.

Final Result: Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino defeated Tonya Evinger via TKO (knees) to win the UFC women's featherweight championship at 1:56 of Round Three

UFC Welterweight Championship Fight
- 170 lbs.: Tyron Woodley (c) vs. Demian Maia #1

Round One: Maia shoots right away, backing Woodley into the cage. Maia is cut open on his left eye, which looks to be about closed. It's unclear what did it, possibly an uppercut from Woodley. Maia backs Woodley into the cage but both takedown attempts have been avoided by the champion. Maia shoots a third time but Woodley is too strong. The referee warns Woodley about grabbing the fence. Maia grabs Woodley's leg but can't get him down. Maia has attempted seven takedowns with two minutes remaining but has not been successful with any of them. Maia blocks a right hand from the champion. Woodley is staying away from the fence, the crowd wants more action. The round ends to a course of boos as the camera shows a cut below the left eye of Damien Maia. It was indeed an uppercut from Woodley that did it.

Round Two: Woodley lands a huge right hand less than a minute into the round, sending his opponent to the mat. Maia gets back to his feet after Woodley told him to get up. Maia's eye looks horrible as Woodley is charging forward. Inside leg kick from Woodley onto his opponent. He's in control now and has stopped all 10 of Maia's takedown attempts. Maia keeps going for takedowns but Tyron continues to avoid them. The crowd wants more action still and boos at the end of the round.

Round Three: Maia has attempted 12 takedowns on Woodley but all have been stopped as of early in the third round. Woodley tries to feel Maia out with some punches. Maia's corner wants him to get closer before he shoots but didn't really provide him with any tools to close the distance. Woodley splits the guard of Maia with a right hand. The crowd is booing heavily with 2:23 left in the round. Demian looks to land some heavy shots and buries a left jab to the champion's face. Maia connects a rare inside leg kick. The fight has turned into somewhat of a starring contest as the round ends with heat from the Honda Center crowd.

Round Four: Both of Maia's eyes are closing because of damage from Woodley. He's still trying to take the champion down but cannot do it. Demian hits an inside leg kick, Tyron isn't landing much. Maia is pushing the pace and Woodley has done more damage to Maia but he's done it without a lot of offense.

Round Five: Demian Maia begins the final round looking horrible, with a lot of damage to his face. He's going to have to land more shots. The takedown defense of Woodley has seen him avoid 20 takedowns. Very few strikes have been landed in this fight, with the action really tailing off in the championship rounds. The crowd loudly chants "boring" as Woodley shrugs off another takedown attempt. Significant strikes ended at 45-23 in favor of Woodley with Woodley avoiding 24 takedowns.

Final Result: Tyron Woodley defeats Demian Maia via unanimous decision (50-45, 49-46, 49-36) to retain the UFC welterweight championship

UFC Light Heavyweight Championship Fight
- 205 lbs.: Daniel Cormier (c) vs. Jon Jones #1

Round One: Cormier and Jones touched gloves and we're off. Inside leg kick from Jones followed by punches. Cormier checks his kicks and knocks Jones' mouthpiece out with an uppercut. The referee stops the fight to give Jones his mouthpiece back. Jones took DC down but was unable to gain control. The crowd loudly chants "DC," as he's sporting a small cut under his left eye. The size discrepancy is very evident. Jones moves DC aside as he tries a takedown. Big right knee from Jones onto DC. Both guys are getting hit but there is no clear advantage with less than two minutes. Cormier hits an outstanding leg kick and looks relaxed and composed. Jones throws some punches but they're blocked. DC catches Jones and the crowd pops. He lands another right hand over the top and goes back to an inside leg kick.

Round Two: Jones opens the round with a nice knee to Cormier's body. The referee stops the fight as the two fighters clashed heads. The doctor clears Cormier after receiving instructions from the referee to check him out. The crowd is split, even doing dueling chants for each fighter. DC is starting to chase Jon a little more but connects with a punch to his opponent's head. Cormier talks trash to Jones but Jones smiles back as he attempts a high kick that is blocked. DC is oozing with confidence, as he is able to trip Jones but Jones recovers quickly. Cormier continues to shake his head after Jon throws punches towards his head. Cormier lands a punch to Jones' head and is forcing the action.

Round Three: Jones continues to land inside leg kicks. Cormier is having a hard time reaching Jones and finally Jones is able to drop him with a headkick. Cormier is in big trouble! Jones, trips him, lands a kick on the body and gets on top and knocks out Daniel Cormier.

Final Result: Jon Jones defeats Daniel Cormier via KO at 3:01 of Round Three to win the UFC light heavyweight championship

DC wouldn't stand alongside the referee and Jones for the reading of the official decision.

After the fight, Joe Rogan got into the Octagon for an interview. Jones was very emotional and said to never quit because he's back. Rogan asked him what it feels like to have the UFC light heavyweight championship back around his waist – Jones says it's a surreal moment and thanks the fans. He says it hasn't always been easy to root for him but he loves them and thanks them. Jones said he loves his haters for motivating him. Jon thanked his coaching staff and said they were banking on Cormier banking his head to the left and he landed a high kick and that ended it. Jon Jones thanked Cormier for being his biggest rival and motivator. He said DC has been a model champion and he aspires to be a lot more like him. Jones got off the mic and kissed Cormier on the top of his head.

DC said he thought the fight was going well and he doesn't even know what happened. He expressed disappointment over the loss. DC said if he wins both fights there is no rivalry.

Jones got on the mic and called out Brock Lesnar – saying if you want to know what it feels like to get your ass kicked by someone that weighs 40 pounds less than you, see you in the Octagon.
