Booker T On Why He Doesn't Like Brock Lesnar Vs. AJ Styles Matchup

On last week's episode of Heated Conversations, Booker T admitted that he's not looking forward to the marquee match-up for tonight's Survivor Series pay-per-view. While many fans are enamoured over the first-ever confrontation between WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Champion AJ Styles, Booker does not share in the excitement.

"Me personally, I've been looking forward to the Jinder Mahal versus Brock Lesnar match," Booker confesses. "As far as AJ Styles/Brock Lesnar, I don't like that match-up."

The Phenomenal One versus The Beast Incarnate has the potential to steal the show, and if nothing else, has certainly added intrigue to the event. Originally, Jinder Mahal laid out the challenge to Lesnar, but after failing to successfully defend his title against AJ Styles nearly two weeks ago, The Maharaja found himself left off the card completely. Though this change has certainly created a buzz around the WWE Universe, Booker T doesn't consider Styles to be Lesnar's equal.

"To step up to Brock Lesnar's level, that's almost like a middleweight going up against a heavyweight; a heavyweight that can move like a middleweight." He adds, "I don't give AJ too much of a chance."

Mahal's championship reign began on May 21st after he beat Randy Orton at Backlash. Since then, he's defeated all challengers including Orton in a Punjabi Prison match and a sudden Money in the Bank cash-in by Baron Corbin. Booker T believes Mahal had a great first title run, especially considering that many critics assumed Mahal would be nothing more than a mid-card superstar.

"I think Jinder Mahal has brought legitimacy to the championship," Booker said, comparing Mahal's heel run to that of other notable heels like The Iron Sheik and Sergeant Slaughter. "Jinder Mahal has done a great job and I think he's been a great champion."
