Matt Hardy Responds To RAW Criticism, John Cena Playing Villain In Transformers Movie?, WWE - Denver

- John Cena recently spoke to Digital Spy about his new animated movie, Ferdinand. During the interview, Cena discussed starring in the upcoming Transformers spinoff movie, Bumblebee. Cena is rumored to play a lead role in the film of an agent of the secret government operation, Sector Seven. Cena said that the film, which releases on December 21, 2018, is "a wonderful reboot of the franchise" and shed a little light on his role.

"It's a bit of a different role," Cena said. "I don't wanna confirm a Cena heel-turn, because it's not a full-blown deal like that, but it's damn sure close!

"It was awesome to be involved with that franchise, and a pleasure to be asked to be part of the movie, but I took the part because it was a challenge for me," Cena added. "It's something that I haven't been able to showcase, and that I wanted to."
