April 5, 2011 – (Washington, DC) – RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization, announced today that Mick Foley, RAINN's newest board member, National Sexual Assault Online Hotline volunteer, professional wrestler, and bestselling author is launching a unique Twitter Campaign, #10forRAINN.

Using his Twitter feed (@realmickfoley), Mick seeks to mobilize his supporters and others who care about fighting sexual violence to contribute to RAINN through #10forRAINN. He will match every donation, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000 throughout the month of April, Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

In addition to matching donations, Mick is offering novel incentives to people to give to #10forRAINN. In a brief new web video, Mick, accompanied by his puppy Randall, says, "If you want to help survivors of sexual assault, or just want to see a big guy with long hair mowing your lawn in front of your friends, please take part in Mick Foley's #10forRAINN Campaign!"

Donors to the #10forRAINN campaign who give $100 or more will receive an autographed photo of Mick; those who give $250 or more will receive a personal phone call; and Mick will personally visit any donor who gives $5,000 or more – and he will also mow that donor's lawn. More details are available through Mick's web video, and www.rainn.org/mickfoley.

"Maybe I'm a father and a husband first, but I feel like I'm a RAINN volunteer before I'm a wrestler and before I'm a writer; it's become that important to me," says Mick. "I hope for RAINN to be able to help even more victims and their families."

Before volunteering for the Online Hotline, Foley was a newcomer to computers. Now, just over a year later, Foley has logged more than 550 hours helping victims of sexual assault through RAINN's Online Hotline. In addition to giving his time and energy, Foley donated 100% of the royalties from his most recent memoir, "Countdown to Lockdown," with 50% going to RAINN and 50% going to help survivors of sexual violence in Sierra Leone.

"Mick is an integral part of RAINN's mission to help survivors get the help they need and deserve," said Scott Berkowitz, president and founder of RAINN. "I am constantly amazed by his generosity, both in time and financial support. Thanks to his compassion and dedication, more survivors are able to take that first step toward recovery through RAINN's National Sexual Assault Hotlines."
