Author Talks HHH & Stephanie Taking Over, Fan Gets WWE Belt Tattoo, New Wrestling Documentary
- The Squared Circle author David Shoemaker appeared on The Street and discussed the recent WWE stock surge, which is currently trading at around $13. Shoemaker noted that part of the reason in the increase in the stock price has been because the McMahon family has learned how to deal with investors. He also said that after speaking to Triple H last summer, both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon seemed ready to take over the company whenever Vince McMahon decides to hand over the reigns. He also discussed the WWE Network, the UFC using WWE's business model, TNA "may or may not" being up for sale, deaths in wrestling and more, you can watch the appearance in the video above.
- A Kickstarter has been launched for a new wrestling documentary entitled Wrestling With Disaster, which gets inside the minds of some of your favorite stars from the past, present and future. Stars featured in the film include Kevin Sullivan, Warlord, Fred "Tugboat/Typhoon" Ottman, D-Lo Brown, "Headbanger Thrasher" Glen Ruth, The Blue Meanie and many others. One of the more gripping scenes unfolded as the filmmakers followed "The Genius" Lanny Poffo, the brother of the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage, to the tree where Randy died. - Cory Kastle, who is one of the men behind the Wrestling with Disaster documentary, recently appeared on Totally Driven Radio to discuss the film. During the appearance, Cory discussed his brain surgery that he had back in 2012, which is covered in the movie. He also said that started doing film work the same time he got involved with wrestling 11 years ago. You can check out his appearance at this link at the 154 minute mark. - Fraser Coast Chronicle has an article about die-hard wrestling fan Justin Deming, who tattooed the WWE "Winged Eagle" championship belt around his waist. Deming noted that the "Winged Eagle" belt was the most iconic to him, and that the tattoo took two and a half years to complete.
