Dana White On Cormier Shoving Cummins, Cormier Explains Crying Incident, UFC 170 Weigh In Results

- Patrick Cummins got to see just how much he got under Daniel Cormier's skin at yesterday's UFC 170 pre-fight press conference. After Cummins publicized the fact that he made Cormier cry at one point during his training for the Olympics, Cormier made no attempt to hide his anger toward Cummins and shoved him after the presser, which you can watch in the video above at the 0:07 mark. In a media scrum following the events, Dana White gave his take on the incident.

"I wasn't expecting it, it caught me off guard," said White. "Honestly, I think he's really upset that he said the things that he said. He said he made him cry. I don't care who you are, nobody wants to hear that. Cormier didn't ask for this fight. He wanted a fight, he didn't ask for this fight. I called Cormier and I told him, 'I got some good news and some bad news for you. Good news is, I got you a fight. You know this kid Cummins?' He goes, 'Yeah.' He said, 'He's gonna take the fight?' I said, 'Yeah. The bad news is, he said he made you cry in training.' He said, 'He said that?' And he went off about that. I think he's embarrassed and I think he's upset. So, we'll see what happens Saturday."

- Cormier has explained the situation that Cummins has been referencing in several interviews. Speaking with Fox Sports recently, giving a succinct explanation of what went down.

In addition to that immense stress, Cormier had also just lost his 2-month-old daughter in a car accident and was still reeling from that loss.
