- Despite suffering a third ACL tear, former UFC Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz stated that he has no plans to retire. "For me to retire, for me to think about stopping and to not put my head down and do the [ therapy] is absolutely insane to me, because this is what I want to do," Cruz said on a conference call Thursday.

Cruz said that he hopes to return in under a year, and looks for an immediate title shot.

- Speaking of the bantamweight division, former Flyweight title challenger John Dodson is considering making another run in the 135-pound division. He's recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus of his own and hopes to resume training in February, with a possible fight next summer.

Dodson has already set his sights on a rematch with 135-pound UFC Champion TJ Dillashaw, telling MMA Fighting "If it was such a fluke, then give that fluke some reality," Dodson said. "Prove that shot was lucky shot. Prove it wasn't a pinpoint accurate shot that landed clear on your jaw and dropped you, that you weren't wobbling after Herb Dean picked you up off the mat."
