In the interview, DiBiase shared that in hindsight, he definitely regretted his decision to leave WWF for WCW and that he was extremely unhappy there.

"So I went to WCW for three years and quite frankly, it was the most miserable three years of my life in terms of business," DiBiase recalled. He added that WCW was the most poorly run company he's ever worked for despite the fact that he was well compensated for his work there.
Discussing his on-air roles with WCW, DiBiase said that his original role as nWo's manager began to dwindle once Eric Bischoff began to take over the role for himself.

"I was supposed to be the mouthpiece and financial backer of the nWo but what really happened as this thing got hotter, Eric Bischoff saw where he could slip himself into the role that he hired me for," DiBiase explained. "And that's what he did. So, a couple weeks go by and I'm not having anything to say anymore, I'm just walking out there, standing in the corner with the rest of the gang. And I just went to Eric and I said look, I said I didn't spend my career so I could end it being Hulk Hogan's belt bearer. I'm not Virgil."

DiBiase said that he told Bischoff that he could have his spot in nWo but that WCW would still have to pay him as per his contract. He noted that they eventually brought him back to manage the Steiner Brothers but summed that experience up by saying that role "really didn't make a whole lot of sense either."
