WWE SmackDown Results: Ryback Stands Tall In 6-Man Tag Match, Cena Talks TLC, More

Welcome to WrestlingINC.com's live coverage and results for SmackDown. Tonight's show was taped on Tuesday in Columbus, Georgia.

In the video clip above, we get a glimpse of the repackaged Ascension who will debut in WWE's main roster in the very near future. The vignette was aired during tonight's episode.

Tonight's blockbuster, live-on-tape event begins with the customary Friday night fanfare and a recap of the big action from Survivor Series and all of the big stuff heading into TLC. Then John Cena comes out to what seems like a big, warm welcome from fans. Before he can finish two sentences about TLC, Seth Rollins emerges and tells him to shut up. Rollins acknowledges that Cena is good and that he steps up when the chips are down but he says Cena will lose at TLC. Rollins adds that he'll set a new standard and that he's the future of WWE. Then he quotes Cena's theme, saying "Your time is up. My time is now."

Cena gets all fired up and says Rollins will find out why there's never been a safer bet on a Sunday night than John Cena. Rollins agrees to disagree and says that TLC will mark the beginning of the end for John Cena. Cena comes back and says that Rollins is good but he ain't that good. He names Renee Dupree, Triple H, Orlando Jordan and The Rock as some of the folks he's survived in the business and says he's going to place a foot up Seth's ass on Sunday. That escalated quickly.

Later tonight, we'll see another boffo 6-man tag in the main event: Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan versus Kane, Luke Harper and Big Show. Commercial sign.

Back from the break, The Usos do their entrance thing?

The Usos vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd

The Miz is on commentary (with Mizdow) explaining the tension with Jimmy Uso over his contact with Naomi. Jimmy starts off against Tyson and tags in Jey after a short stretch. Tyson makes it back to the corner to bring in Cesaro. Jimmy comes back in to go up against Cesaro and after the Swiss Superman ends up outside, Jimmy hits a nice cross-body over the top rope and outside. When Cesaro comes back in, he manages to force Jimmy outside and Tyson Kidd hits him with a swift kick and knocks him out. Miz says he gets a call from his agent and leaves with Mizdow to talk to Naomi backstage. Another commercial break ensues.

When we get back to the show, Cesaro is in control of Jimmy Uso, laying him out with a belly-to-belly. Tyson tags in and keeps on top of Jimmy with some grappling. He comes up empty with a leg drop and Jimmy almost tags in Jey but Cesaro charges him and knocks him off the apron, turning back to work over Jimmy some more. He swings Jimmy and Tyson double-teams with a dropkick. TJ gets a near-fall and after more punishment, he tags Cesaro back in. Cesaro misses a move in the corner and eats some of the ring post. Jimmy crawls back towards his corner but Jey is still out of commission at the moment. Jey eventually springs back to action, gets the tag and cleans house. He connects with a series of moves on Cesaro and Tyson breaks up a near fall. A short time later, Jey nails Cesaro with a superkick and tags in Jimmy who hits a big splash and covers him for the win.

Result: The Usos defeat Cesaro and Tyson Kidd via pinfall.

Backstage, The Miz and Mizdow talk to Naomi about her career. Naomi is suspicious that Miz is trying to drive a wedge into her relationship with Jimmy. Miz tells her he'll step aside but urges her to consider accepting his assistance. Naomi contemplates things as we head for a commercial.

Following the break, Jimmy tries to chat up Naomi but she blames him shaking her confidence and storms off. Jey tries to get Jimmy's head back in the game and tells him that Miz is playing everyone.

Cole and JBL argue about the Miz's integrity and then we get a recap of the Cens/Rolins rivalry starting with Lesnar's title win. Bray Wyatt offers a backstage promo in which he says kids will learn about him in school someday. Then we go to ringside?

Before we get to the action, though, commercials roll and we get another look at AJ's Slammy acceptance speech courtesy of the good people at Denny's. AJ joins the announce team to call the action.

Nikki Bella vs. Alicia Fox

Alicia puts on some impressive offense to start things off but Nikki roars back wallops Fox good, knocking her out of the ring with a huge slap. After delivering a suplex, Nikki covers for a near fall. AJ says Nikki is like the villain in every bad '80s teen movie. Bella dominates for a bit longer but Alicia mounts an impressive comeback, even earning a near fall. Nikki eventually scores a win with the Rack Attack.

Result: Nikki Bella defeats Alicia Fox via pinfall.

Post-match, Nikki beats on Fox some more as Brie cheers her on. AJ stares down Nikki to round out the segment.

The guys in the truck re-rack the Slammy Award show and then we see The New Day heading out to the ring.

Big E vs. Goldust

Goldust is aggressive from the bell and delivers a flurry of offense to Big E until E slows his momentum down with some power moves. Big E sets him up for a power slam but Goldust escapes and somehow knocks down Big E from the apron. Big E. fires back and puts Goldust down, covering him for a pinfall victory.

Result: Big E defeats Goldust via pinfall.

More Slammy recaps after the commercial and then we revisit Rusev's brawl with Swagger. Bell time.

Jack Swagger vs. Titus O'Neil

Swagger tears at O'Neil and they lock up for a spell. They break and engage in some shoving until Swagger takes over. O'Neil ends up outside and Swagger pursues him, landing a big boot and then receiving some payback from O'Neil. Back in the ring, Titus takes over, showing some incredible strength. Titus stays in charge until Swagger slaps on the Patriot Lock. O'Neil tries to hang in there but ends up tapping out.

Result: Jack Swagger defeats Titus O'Neil via pinfall.

Post-match, Rusev and Lana hit the ramp to taunt Jack with the US title. And?scene.

We revisit the Bray Wyatt/Dean Ambrose feud and then we turn to Dean Ambrose who shares some thoughts about his forthcoming match at TLC. He says the he and Bray weren't meant to rule together; they were meant to tear each other apart. We get a look at Cena and his team for the main event and then more commercials.

Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback vs. Kane, Big Show and Luke Harper

Dolph and Kane start this one off and Zigs gets things moving, showing a lot of speed and energy. He tags in Rowan who delivers some shots to Kane's brain before the The Big Red Monster retreats outside. Commercial sign.

Back on the show, Erick Rowan whales away on Big Show and the match spills outside the ring. Show gets the upper hand and once they're back in the ring, he tags in Kane. Kane lays out Rowan and then tags in Harper. The IC champ keeps it rolling with some mat work as Ryback waits on the apron for his chance to storm the ring. Rowan manages to bring Ziggler in and Dolph fares well against him until he runs smack into one of Kane's boots. Ryback looks hella sad as we go to break.

The crowd cheers on Ziggler once the match resumes but he can't stage a decent comeback. Show tags in and smashes Ziggler good as the match grinds on. Dolph finally connects with a dropkick to the knee but Show gets back up, teasing the choke slam. Ziggler escapes and applies a sleeper hold until Show shakes him off. Dolph kicks out of a near-fall and Ryback still hasn't seen any action.

A tipping point comes when Ziggler hits an impressive Zig-Zag on Big Show. He crawls over and tags in Ryback, who takes out everyone. Harper comes in as the legal guy and Ryback puts him down with a spinebuster. Brawling erupts outside of the ring and Ryback surges back against Harper, delivering the Shell-Shock and winning the match with a pinfall.

Result: Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback defeat Kane, Big Show and Luke Harper

Post match, Kane beats down Ryback with a chair. Rowan and Ziggler bring in a ladder and take out Harper and then Zigs climbs the ladder and takes out all three of his opponents on the floor below. The fan favorites celebrate as the show fades to black.
