WWE NXT Recap (8/5): Several NXT TakeOver Matches Set, Samoa Joe Vs. Rhyno, Bayley Vs. Charlotte

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com NXT coverage. Samoa Joe vs. Rhyno and Bayley vs. Charlotte are set for tonight's show.

Charlotte vs. Bayley

Charlotte starts out with a headlock, and the crowd is torn between the two. Bayley switches to a hammerlock, but Charlotte quickly regains the headlock. The two trade holds until Charlotte scores her rolling head scissors. Bayley dumps Charlotte to the outside of the ring and dropkicks Charlotte, but back inside, Bayley is cut off again with a Charlotte boot.

Bayley comes back with a series of elbows, with the second being off the second rope. Bayley connects with a nice Exploder suplex and a Bayleycanrana, but Charlotte kicks out. Charlotte connects with a big spear for two, and locks on the Figure 4. Bayley reverses pressure and gets out. Bayley-to-Belly out of nowhere gets another two count, and the crowd can't believe it.

A German suplex from Bayley can't get it done, and she's sent into the turnbuckle. A super Bayley-to-Belly gets a three count!

Winner: Bayley via pinfall (Super Bayley-to-Belly)

Charlotte is in the ring smiling, happy for Bayley.

- Michael Cole is shown talking to Kevin Owens, questioning the sincerity of Owens' apologies to Regal. Owens says Regal openly saying that he hopes Owens loses is a big issue. Owens says that he needs the NXT Title to remind him of what he did to Sami Zayn, as well as adds money to his bank account. He said that he thinks Regal may throw in a crooked referee or screw him out of the title. Owens challenges Balor to a ladder match at Takeover.

- We see a new BullFit video. I don't know about this.

Baron Corbin vs. Jesus De Leon

End of Days. Pin.

Winner: Baron Corbin via pinfall (End of Days)

- Bayley is in William Regal's office, and Regal says next week she'll face Becky Lynch next week. The winner faces Sasha Banks at Takeover.

Tyler Breeze vs. Aaron Solo

Beauty Shot. Pin. That was Corbin-esque.

Winner: Tyler Breeze via pinfall (Beauty Shot)

William Regal announces that Tyler Breeze will face Jushin Thunder Liger at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. We see a video package of Liger.

- We see a video of Uhaa Nation, his new name is Apollo Crews, and he'll debut at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

- We see an interview with Finn Balor, but he doesn't really say a lot. He says he doesn't believe anything Owens says.

Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder vs. Hype Bros.

Mojo goes to work on Dawson's shoulder, and then Ryder tags in and lands a flapjack. Ryder is over big with the NXT crowd, but gets dropped on his head by Dawson. Wilder comes in and hits a backbreaker, followed by a Dawson slingshot suplex. Ryder gets the hot tag and Mojo gets hype, as the kids say. Mojo lands a nice fireman's carry face slam, followed by the Super Rough Ryder.

Winners: Hype Bros via pinfall (Assisted Rough Ryder)

Dawson and Wilder attack the Hype Bros. backstage.

- William Regal is backstage and gives Vaudevillians a tag title rematch at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

- Another BullFit video.

Samoa Joe vs. Rhyno

Joe and Rhyno brawl in the ring until Rhyno gets sent outside, and Joe follows with a suicide dive. Back inside, Joe lands a big kick, but Rhyno fights back with chops. The two take each other out and are down for a seven count. Joe's inverted atomic boot senton combo gets a two count.

Rhyno lands a nasty looking TKO, but Joe launches himself off the ropes with a big kick. Rhyno comes back with a belly-to-belly suplex, but can't get the three. Joe gets an enziguri and Muscle Buster for the win.

Winner: Samoa Joe via pinfall (Muscle Buster)
