"UFC 191: Johnson Vs. Dodson II" Results: Mighty Mouse Johnson's Domination, UFC Legends Go At It

Welcome to Wrestling Inc's live coverage of UFC 191: Johnson Vs. Dodson II! Tonight's show features a Flyweight Championship rematch between title holder Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson, and the biggest threat to his crown, John Dodson. Former heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Frank Mir also square off in a fight with huge implications in the division. #1-ranked light heavyweight Anthony "Rumble" Johnson and overnight sensation Paige VanZant are also on the show.

MAIN CARD

Paige VanZant (#7) vs. Alex Chambers
Round 1:
PVZ pressures early, and lands several strikes in the clinch. The two clinch again and trade shots, with PVZ getting the better of it. PVZ is finding success in the clinch, but lets it go briefly before going right back to it. Chambers goes for a takedown, but gets thrown by PVZ. Paige lets her back up, and prevents a leg lock attempt to close the round.

Round 2: PVZ comes out a little flat footed, but it doesn't seem to matter as she takes control early. More clinch work from VanZant continues her domination. Chambers lands a good couple of punches when they separate, but PVZ answers and scores more knees. PVZ hits a big front kick to Chambers' body and wails away before a takedown to end the round.

Round 3: PVZ mauls Chambers right out of the gate and hits a big right hand. PVZ briefly threatens with a rear naked choke, but locks on an armbar for the win.

That was an incredibly impressive, dominant performance by the 21-year old Paige VanZant. She looked really good in the clinch, and wasn't in danger at any point. Also, she had a really nice transition to the armbar.

Jan Blachowicz (#12) vs. Corey Anderson
Round 1:
A lot of faints for the first minute, with neither competitor landing much until Blachowicz connects. Blachowicz gets jabbed by Anderson, and the two clinch up. Anderson gets taken down, but gets right back up and takes Blachowicz down. Jan briefly applies an armbar, but Anderson escapes and the two are on the feet.

Round 2: Anderson lands a big series of punches and a takedown within the first minute, and Blachowicz looks exhausted. Anderson lands a lot of big strikes on the ground up against the cage. Anderson totally dominates this round.

Round 3: Anderson immediately takes Jan own and is in Blachowicz's guard. Anderson moves to the half guard and rains down strikes. Anderson lets Blachowicz up, tags him with a punch and takes him down again.

That was a big win for Anderson. At 25, he's a nice prospect at 205 pounds. He's won 3 of his 4 UFC fights, and could be getting really close to the top 15.

Anthony "Rumble" Johnson (#1) vs. Jimi Manuwa (#7)
Round 1
: Rumble connects early during a sloppy exchange. Manuwa threw an ill-advised kick without setting it up and got countered with a straight right. Johnson takes Manuwa down and lands big punches. They work back to the feet, where Manuwa throws a head kick that gets blocked.

Round 2: Rumble opens with a big right hand, and follows with another. Manuwa gets flattened an the ref steps in.

Well, everyone who the UFC needed to win has won tonight thus far, and Rumble did so in impressive fashion. If Rumble were another human being without his domestic violence past, it'd be much more fun to watch him.

Andrei Arlovkski (#4) vs. Frank Mir (#10)
Round 1:
Mir connects but is countered by Arlovski. Mir blasts Arlovski and backs him up to the cage. Arlovski scores a couple of big punches, but not a lot is happening, as this is mainly a cage clinch battle.

Round 2: Mir takes Arlovski down right off the bat. Mir doesn't do a whole lot from the position and eats punches from the bottom. The ref stands the two up an Arlovski scores a switch kick. The two have a few sloppy exchanges with neither doing damage. Arlovski scores a big couple of punches, and Mir looks exhausted.

Round 3: Arlovski pins Mir against the cage and slugs Mir with an elbow. Mir tags Arlovski, but Arlovski gets back up to his feet. Arlovski tags Mir with a left and a flurry in return. Arlovski finishes with another couple of punches.

That fight was pretty horrible, but it's still a win for Arlovski. It's a crazy career revival for him, winning his fourth straight UFC fight.

Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson (c) vs. John Dodson (#1)
Round 1:
We see an extended feeling out period for the first half of round 1 until Dodson lands uppercuts in the clinch. Dodson shucks off a takedown, but Johnson is controlling the pace.

Round 2: Dodson takes Johnson down, but lets him up immediately. Mighty Mouse scores a knee, but then goes back to the center of the cage. Dodson lands a big left, but Johnson follows up with a right hand, then two more. A MM head kick is blocked to end the round.

Round 3: MM goes for a takedown and lands several punches and elbows against the cage. Dodson is starting to slow down, but still prevents the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson sneaks with a back elbow that cracks Dodson. MM is hit low but refuses to let the ref step in. He tells Herb Dean to get out of the way, then takes Dodson down shortly after. Dodson turns the tides with a switch, but MM gets back up.

Round 4: MM tags Dodson with an uppercut, then follows up with a nice combo. MM starts slipping all of Dodson's punches, then stops a takedown and hits Dodson with a right hand. Dodson has Johnson against the cage, but can't do much with it. Johnson briefly takes Dodson down, and the round ends.

Round 5: Dodson needs a finish to win. He opens with a body kick and a jab, but gets hit with another right hand. A huge takedown by Johnson 90 seconds in, but Dodson gets back up. The same thing happens with 90 seconds to go in the fight. Dodson manages a nice right hand, but Johnson answers. A nice knee from Dodson with 40 seconds puts the two against the cage as the fight ends.
