Bellator 145 Results: Two Big Title Fights, Bobby Lashley Fights, Kurt Angle, Ken Shamrock, Kimbo

As you've surely seen tonight, Bellator held their Bellator 145 show, the last of their major events of the year. The show had major pro wrestling implications, as no less than five former WWE and TNA talents appeared on the show, and that was even before the two title fights.

Bobby Lashley earned an easy victory over longtime foe James Thompson, destroying Thompson's knee on the way to a first round win. Lei'D Tapa was announced for her MMA debut, while King Mo had his next bout announced, both on Rizin's New Year's Eve Show on Spike. Kurt Angle was also present, providing color commentary for Lashley's fight. Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock was also on the show, and booked for a major show in February against Royce Gracie. Kimbo Slice will also appear on that show.

Will Brooks took on leglock mastadon Marcin Held, Brooks spend much of round 1 defending Held's signature leg locks, but found himself working from the top for much of the fight. A long, uneventful fight resulted in Brooks retaining his Bellator Lightweight Championship.

A much more exciting fight followed, as Patricio Pitbull took on Daniel Straus in a trilogy of their epic rivalry. Struas starched Pitbull in the second round, but wasn't able to finish. Straus controlled the first three rounds, but almost faced a third heartbreaking championship fight collapse when Pitbull started working for a rear naked choke in the fifth round. Both fighters finished the bout slugging it out.
