Forbes On Why Brock Lesnar Vs. Kevin Owens At WrestleMania Would Be A Mistake

As noted earlier, former WWE writer and producer Court Bauer stated on a recent episode of MLW Radio that WWE is considering a Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens match for WrestleMania. Alfred Konuwa has an article at Forbes about why the match would be a bad idea, noting that wrestlers who were stars on the international or independent scene for a long period – like Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Hideo Itami, Sami Zayn and Cesaro – are more susceptible to injury.

"Simply sharing the ring with Lesnar is an honor that will almost immediately establish younger wrestlers as main eventers," Konuwa wrote. "But if Owens is to go down with an injury following a potentially career-defining victory over Lesnar, WWE would once again be left to piece together a makeshift roster."

Konuwa also noted that building your roster around a "core group of physical, independent wrestlers is not a sound strategy." It's an interesting read, you can check it out by clicking here.
