Sheamus Said King Barrett "Missed The Boat"; Talks Irish Being On Top, Performing On RAW After TLC

Christoff interviewed Sheamus for 98 Rock Baltimore yesterday, before Sheamus lost the WWE Championship to Roman Reigns on RAW. Below are some highlights, you can check out the full interview above:

How he gets in the right mindset to perform on RAW after such a brutal TLC match the night before:

"It's just what we do. You know, we put on the greatest show possibly imagined. And with a lot of passion, a lot of fire, and with a lot of pride in what we do. And, you know, certain boxers and certain UFC fighters, they'll have a fight every six months, we literally go, including live events, six days a week or five days a week. And you just have passion for what you do and put your body on the line. It's what you've always wanted to do. That's the way it is and when you're the top of the food chain, like myself the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, you go through hell like I did last night. You know, battered and bruised and your body's kind of feeling a bit like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and you know, you get up the next day and go again, that's what it's about. And that's what we accept and what we love to do."

King Barrett not coming out to help him at TLC with the League of Nations:

"He was there, I think he was just drinking coffee in the back or something or he was watching soccer or something like that. Or he was trying on some women's lingerie, I don't know what he was doing in the back there. But he missed the boat."

His run as King Sheamus:

"I tell you what, I get a lot of slack over the King thing, but man, I got a deadly action figure out of that and I'm still proud of that. I went out and bought all that stuff myself when I saw they were gonna give me that Burger King crown and the red cape and stuff. I was like, here: like Bedknobs & Broomsticks stuff like no way I was wearing this. So, I went out and got my own stuff made and took the initiative and slash kind of a Lord of The Rings kind of vibe with the Rocky Horror Picture Show."

The Irish being on top right now:

"We're going pretty strong to be honest, we're doing pretty well. Just gotta keep the momentum going. McGregor is going to move up in weight, Finn Balor is killing it over there in NXT, and Becky Lynch is kinda like, I'm waiting for her to bite. I'm waiting for her to just get out of this 'going around' and just start destroying everybody. She's definitely a future Divas Champion, there's no doubt about it. Everybody loves her. She's got that great personality, she looks great, she's got a different look and she's the next one to walk away with gold and it's only a matter of time."
